Richardson, 70 LINCOLN - James Robert Richardson, 70, Lincoln, passed away at home on Monday, June 1, 2015. He was born February 17, 1945 to the late John and Anna (Penchishen) Richardson in Frackville, Pa. James served his country for two decades from 1967 - 1987 with the U.S. Air Force. He also worked for Dentsply Caulk in Milford from 1989 until 2007. James was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Denton, Md. Mr. Richardson has served the community for over 20 years with the Milford Lions Club (including being past-president), with Milford Veterans Home and at the Avenue Church Food Pantry. He loved to travel and to watch Eagles' games, college football and the Little League World Series. He was a member of ROMEO Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out) who met weekly at the Westside Diner. He never met a stranger. James loved skee ball and considered himself the Arnold Palmer of mini golf. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, whom he graciously cared for. He was also preceded by brother and his wife, John and Margaret Richardson; brother-in-law Albert Niedzwiecki. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Veronica (Lorsong) Richardson; sisters, Elizabeth Niedzwiecki and Rose Marie Suslavage (husband Walter); nieces, nephews and their families, Michael Richardson, Wayne Richardson, Kimberly Smith and Linda Michaels, and his beloved Boston Terrier, Gidgette. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford at 3 p.m. where friends may call one hour prior for a visitation. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Milford Lions Club, PO Box 25, Milford, DE 19963 or Home of the Brave, 6632 Sharps Rd., Milford, DE 19963.
