DOVER - James M. Schock, of Dover, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Kent General Hospital. He was 80. Mr. Schock was born October 25, 1930, in Bethlehem, Pa. to the late Ambrose Schock and Hattie Mae Achey Schock. He served in the United States Air Force and the 29th Air Reserve. Mr. Schock worked civil service as a supervisor for the aircraft maintenance department at Dover Air Force Base for 29 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post #2, Air Mobility Command and Modern Maturity Center in Dover. Mr. Schock enjoyed wood working, bowling, senior Olympics and was dancing with the Steppin Seniors. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae Schock, on Sept. 28, 1997. He is survived by his son, Michael Schock and his wife Judi of Dover; daughter, Robyn Bose and her husband David of Camden; brother, Harry F. Unangst of Bethlehem, Pa.; sisters, Evelyn Schock, Marie Garis and Loretta Stout all of Bethlehem, Pa.; grandchildren, Michaela Lynn and Coty James Schock both of Dover; nephew, Ambrose Schock of North Hampton, Pa.; and his companion, Eleanor Moore of Smyrna. Funeral services will be 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call Wednesday evening, Nov. 10, 2010, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Interment will be held privately at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
