SAN DIEGO - James Franklin Holden Jr., of San Diego, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his home. He was 60.
Mr. Holden was born July 16, 1947, in Chestertown, Md., son of the late Franklin Holden and Martha (Engrem) Holden.
He was a 1965 graduate of Centreville (Md.) High School.
After moving to California 26 years ago, Mr. Holden went to work as a comptroller for Triumph Fabrications in El Cajon.
He was a member of the San Diego Zoological Society.
Mr. Holden enjoyed country music and loved to travel.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Holden was preceded in death by one brother, Philip Holden; one sister, Charlotte Hubbard; and one niece, Karen Adkins.
He is survived by one sister, Bess Marie Sterling and her husband Elijah of Dover, Del.; and one niece, Cheryl Rash of Camden, Del.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Henderson, Md.
