James F. Himmelreich, 80

MILLSBORO - James "Bud" F, Himmelreich, of Millsboro, formerly of Reading, Pa., passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, in Beebe Hospital, Lewes. He was 80. He was the husband of June (Winters) Himmelreich for 57 years. Born in Kenhorst, Pa., he was a son of the late James and Edith (Behm) Himmelreich. He worked 28 years as a letter carrier for the postal service at the Shillington Post Office, until retiring. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict serving as a sergeant in the tank corps. He was a volunteer assistant fire chief and fire chief of the Grill Fire Company for 15 years and life member of the fire company. He was a member of the Clover Park Athletic Association and the AMVETS. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Scott and his wife Melissa Himmelreich of Bernville, Pa.; daughter, Linda and her husband Angel Lugo of Reading, Pa.; brother, David Himmelreich of Reading, Pa.; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
