CAMDEN-WYOMING - James Edward Smith of Camden-Wyoming died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 77.

He was born Sept. 9, 1930, in Welch, W.Va., son of the late Thomas and Lula (Catron) Smith.

Mr. Smith had worked for Teals Construction as a foreman and truck driver, retiring in 1995.

He loved the old steam trains and the mountains, and enjoyed being with his family.

In addition his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Smith, in 2006, and David Smith, in 1997.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances Smith; his children, Sue Murphy and her husband James C. of Willow Grove, James M. Smith of Willow Grove, Sandra Smith of Marydel, and Ralph W. Smith of Willow Grove; two sisters, Nellie Sarinkoske of Princeton, W.Va., and Barbara Gross of Roanoke, Va.; and 12 grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Seaver Funeral Service, 1507 N. Walker St., Princeton, W.Va., where friends may two hours before services.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial, Princeton, W.Va.

Local arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
