DOVER - James Benjamin Shockley, Jr. passed way on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
Mr. Shockley was born in Dover to James Benjamin Shockley, Sr. and Charlotte Crist Shockley.
He worked for Proctor and Gamble for 40 years, retiring in 2018.
He enjoyed music, watching NASCAR, had a passion for classic cars, watching football especially his RAIDERS games, spending time with his family and visiting Ocean City, Maryland and Reno, Nevada.
Mr. Shockley is survived by his parents; significant other of 23 years, Marta S. Raccio; son, Ben (Danielle) Shockley III, of Dover; stepdaughters, Kasey (Cory) Hinsz, of Spokane, WA, Brittany (Rob) Hinojosa, of Reno, NV; step grandson, Jared Porter of Reno, NV; grand-dog G-Man; and a host of friends and cousins.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E Lebanon Rd on Saturday October 16, 2021.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to Camden Wyoming Fire Department, 200 E Camden Wyoming Ave, Camden, DE 19934 (CWFC41.com).
