Balsbaugh, Sr., 59 MAGNOLIA - James Balsbaugh, Sr. of Magnolia, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Christiana Hospital. He was 59. James was born August 31, 1956 in Jacksonville, Florida to Earl Elmer Balsbaugh and Florence Swiderski Balsbaugh. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force retiring in 1998. After his retirement he worked for Summitt Aviation in Middletown, as a painter. James enjoyed fishing, working on cars, woodworking and spending time with his dogs. James is survived by his son, James Balsbaugh, Jr. of Magnolia; brothers, Patrick Balsbaugh and his wife Terrie and Mark Balsbaugh all of Leonardtown, Md.; sister, Susan Callahan of Pa. Funeral services will be 6 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, #205, New Castle, DE 19720.
