Iris Lillian Faulkner

SMYRNA - Iris Lillian Faulkner reached her hand to our Heavenly Father, where He accepted her with open arms on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018.
Mrs. Faulkner was born Oct. 16, 1927 in Rehoboth Beach, the daughter of the late Paul D. and Jeannette (Alexander) Fisher.
She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading and had a love for animals. She loved listening and singing to Gospel music, all the while tapping her foot to the rhythm of the music.
In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Faulkner; her brother, Paul Fisher; and her grandson, Rodney Faulkner.
She is survived by her brother, Carlton Fisher of Milford; her daughters, Jeannie Newton (Zealous) of Miami, Fla., and Patsy Faulkner (John) of Dover; her sons, George Faulkner (Virginia) of Marydel and Rick Faulkner (Sandy) of Townsend; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, James Faulkner; sister-in-law, Dorothy Chris Faulkner; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Services will begin at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
