FELTON - Irene B. Wilson of Felton died Monday, May 28, 2007, at home surrounded by the family that she loved. She was 74.

Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late John Voss and Lillian Jester Voss.

Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker who stayed quite busy raising her family.

Growing up, she was raised by an adoptive family, Theresa and Zedok Clark of Greenwood.

She loved to garden, watch birds, grow flowers and raise tropical fish.

In her spare time, she enjoyed going to local sales and auctions, and fixing cuckoo clocks.

She also enjoyed collecting unicorn figurines, beanie babies, wind chimes, and Elvis memorabilia.

During the summer seasons, she also liked to go clamming and crabbing.

After all her children left home, Mrs. Wilson"s dogs, Petey and Robin, became her constant companions, along with a duck who followed her everywhere.

She will be greatly missed by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eugene Wilson; and daughters, Donna Marie Wilson and Donna Mae Wilson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Burton Charles Wilson Sr. of Felton; sons, Burton C. Wilson Jr. of Union, S.C., Donald L. Wilson of Felton, Ronald J. Wilson of Dover; daughters, Mary M. .Straw and Nancy E. Whitenight, both of Felton; four sisters, Charlotte, Louise, Betty and Ester; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Highway, Harrington. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m.

Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro.

Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington, DE.
