Inez Clara Davis Molock, 87
AIREYS, Md. - Inez Clara Davis Molock of Aireys departed this life Thursday, April 5, 2007, in Mallard Bay Care Center. She was 87.
Mrs. Molock was born Dec. 19, 1919, in Vienna, Md., daughter of the late Hattie Nutter and Edgar Davis.
She grew up on a small farm in the Vienna community and was educated in Dorchester County public schools.
Mrs. Molock was married to the late Russell Edward Molock for 51 years. Together they maintained a community store in Aireys, operated a small farm and other various businesses. During this time, she became a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
She was employed as a factory worker at different locations until her retirement; but her true calling was being a housewife and homemaker who enjoyed entertaining and cooking for others. Spending time with family and friends was her pride and joy. Her house was a home away from home when family from out of town came to visit. She had a passion for reading, reciting and memorizing poetry.
She resided at Mallard Bay Care Center in Cambridge, July 2002, after her health began to fail. During that time she developed a special friendship with her devoted roommate, Mrs. Geneva Burton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Edward Molock; a son, Emerson Molock; four sisters, Mildred Young, Nellie Ennels, Wilsie Evans and Lula Cornish; five brothers, Leon, Albert, Luther, Vernon and Clidel Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children and their spouses, Constance A. and Clifford Jiles, Fulton Albert and Mary Davis, all of Cambridge, Marion Fisher of Aireys and Charlene Cephas of Cambridge, who was like a daughter; two sisters, Ruth Davis Braxton of Cambridge and Emma and Benjamin Franklin Molock of Aireys; two sisters-in-law, Nicie Davis of Aireys and Agnes Davis of Salem; eight grandchildren, Jo Ann Jiles Perry, Kim Davis, Monica Thomas Hill, Melanie L. Thomas, Clifford Jiles Jr., Michael Jiles, Fulton Davis Jr. and Jerome Jiles; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Going home services will be 1 p.m. today in Christ United Methodist Church, Aireys.
