Ida Wiggins Pritchett, 95

PONDTOWN, Md. - Ida Wiggins Pritchett of Pondtown died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, in her daughter's home in Millington. She was 95.

Mrs. Pritchett was born Sept. 1, 1912, in Sudlersville, daughter of the late Rev. George Wiggins and Mary "Lee" Wiggins.

She graduated from Garnett High School and went on to work for General Foods as a production worker, where she retired in 1977.

Mrs. Pritchett was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and the Chit Chat Club.

She enjoyed going to the Crumpton Senior Center, cooking, sewing, word puzzles and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pritchett was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Pritchett; one daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Pritchett; one sister, Sedella Carroll; three brothers, Carlston, George and Oliver Wiggins; one grandson, Arlington "Buster" Pritchett; and one great-grandson, Thurston L. Harris.

She is survived by three daughters, Ida L. Clark of Millington, Marjorie P. Miller of Pondtown and Patricia A. Warner and her husband Edward of Pondtown; one son, Arlington Pritchett and his wife Esther of Pondtown; one sister, Leah M. Chase of Cambridge; 16 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Faith Unity Fellowship Church, Millington.

Services will be noon at the church.

Interment will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery following the service.

Arrangements by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington.
