Hunter Scott Sturgis, 63, died peacefully, at home, after a long illness, on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018. Scott was born in Biloxi, Miss., second son of Jack and Becky Dirickson Sturgis, but grew up in Delmar, Md. In 1978, he married Linda Ann Johnson of Georgetown. He worked for many years as a professional chef and then enjoyed a very successful career in food service sales. Scott died just five days before his and Linda's 40th wedding anniversary.
