Henry 'Hank' Zielinski, 54
CLAYTON - Henry "Hank" Zielinski of Clayton passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at home, following a courageous battle against colon cancer. He was 54.
Mr. Zielinski was born Nov. 1, 1953, in Euclid, Ohio, son of the late Henry A. and Florence (Sickimich) Zielinski.
He worked as a human resource manager for Johnson Controls in Middletown for the last year.
Mr. Zielinski previously worked for TRW and Clarkwood Industries, both of Cleveland, and Associated Springs and Railpower, both of Erie, Pa.
He made many friends wherever he worked.
He was a member of St. Polycarp's Roman Catholic Church, Smyrna, and the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Zielinski was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School, Baldwin-Wallace and Duquesne Law School.
Through his struggle with cancer, he never lost his sense of humor or his quick wit.
He is survived by his wife, Anne (Pearce) Zielinski; three daughters, Kathleen Gahagen, Sarah Zielinski and her husband David Garrett and Mariah Zielinski; a son, Patrick Gahagen and his wife Michelle; a brother, Greg Zielinski and his wife Cheryl of Willoughby, Ohio; two nieces, Jeanette Lanese and her husband Mauricio and Crystal Zielinski; a sister-in-law, Betsy Stevick; and many relatives and friends.
A local memorial service at St. Polycarp's Roman Church, Smyrna, will be announced at a later date.
A memorial celebration will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 10808 Granger Road, Garfield Heights, Ohio 44125.
