Helen V. (Allison) Ruger, 89
REHOBOTH BEACH - Helen V. (Allison) Ruger, a 30-year resident of Rehoboth Beach, died peacefully in the presence of her family on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 89.
Mrs. Ruger was born in Coatesville, Pa., daughter of the late Charles and Susan (Mahoney) Allison.
She was a dedicated nurse who graduated from the Coatesville Hospital School of Nursing in 1939.
Mrs. Ruger had been a registered nurse for 50 years, including 15 years at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Ruger was preceded in death by her daughter, Penney Quinney.
She is survived by a son, Ken Ruger and his wife Donna of North Carolina; five grandchildren; granddaughter, Brenna Joiner; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchilden; and a brother, Jim Allison of Florida.
A prayer service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call one hour prior to the services.
Interment will follow at Henlopen Memorial Park, Del. 1, Milton.
