HARRINGTON — Harrington Raceway and Casino recently presented checks to Make-A-Wish Delaware and Ronald McDonald House of Delaware with proceeds from annual donation drives.

Checks were presented for $18,509 to Make-A-Wish from the Nov. 5, 2022, fundraiser and $14,701 to RMDH from the Dec. 18, 2022, donation drive in the Gold Room of the casino.

"Make-A-Wish is thrilled to partner with Harrington Raceway and Casino again on a successful donation drive," said Cara Feldman, vice president of development of Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware and Susquehanna Valley.

"The impact of the wish journey for a child is forever lifechanging, providing hope and strength,” said Ms. Feldman. “We are thankful to Harrington Raceway and Casino for their support as it is instrumental in helping to grant transformational wishes for children in Delaware."

Ms. Feldman and RMDH's Southern Delaware Advancement Officer Jan Shallcross accepted checks on behalf of the respective organizations.

Harrington Raceway and Casino's COO of Hospitality Hank Rosenberg is active with both organizations, serving on the advisory board for RMDH and is formerly on the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish and recently celebrated 25 years as a volunteer.

"I am so fortunate to have been involved with both these organizations for such a long time and to work for a company that believes so strongly about giving back to the community," said Mr. Rosenberg.

"We have been doing this promotion for both organizations for a number of years and have raised over $100,000 cumulatively for each to help support their wonderful causes."

Harrington Raceway and Casino will host its annual donation drive for the Food Bank of Delaware from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29.
