Grace M. Barnes, 80

MILFORD - Grace M. Barnes of Milford died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, in her home. She was 80.

She was born on Jan. 31, 1927, in Verona, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie (Ritchey) Miller.

Grace enjoyed life as a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Arthur Barnes Jr., on Sept. 29, 1995.

She is survived by a son, Don Barnes and his wife Anne of Metarie, La.; two daughters, Susan Vanaman of Milford and Vicki Delbrouck of Plantation, Fla.; her grandchildren, Cindi B. Turner of Milford, Beth Vanaman of Wilmington, Adam Barnes, Patrick Barnes and Alexander Barnes, all of Metarie, and Austin Delbrouck, Olivia Delbrouck, Eliot Delbrouck, Andrea Delbrouck, Molly Delbrouck and Donavan Delbrouck, all of Plantation; her great-grandchildren, Matthew Turner, Heather Turner, Skye Wallace and Katie Wallace, all of Milford; and a niece, Barbara Scott and her husband Bob of Leechburg, Pa.

She lived a long and happy life and died at home surrounded by her family.

Services will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901. Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
