Gordon Gilbert 'Gil' Mosher, 66

DOVER - Gordon Gilbert "Gil" Mosher, of Dover, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover, surrounded by his loving family. He was 66.

Gordon was born on July 31, 1941, in Chester, Pa., son of the late Gordon C. and Elmira (Adkisson) Mosher.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy for six years, achieving the rank of E-4.

Formerly of New Jersey, Gordon had worked for several construction firms during the revitalization of Atlantic City.

He moved to Delaware 13 years ago and until his death was a co-owner, with his wife, of Rainbow Tattoo and Body Piercing of Dover.

Gordon will be remembered even during his illness as being able to keep his sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife of 11½ years, Margaret "Peggy" Fifer Mosher; a daughter, Robin Mosher of Swedesboro, N.J.; three grandchildren, Rebecca Hunt, Charlotte Hunt and Foster Hunt; a sister, Elmira Hogan of Magnolia; three stepchildren, Tammy Whitsett of Dover, Pamela Corron of Magnolia and Ian Stewart of Frederica; three stepgrandchildren, T.J. Whitsett, Alex Whitsett and Heather Stewart, all of Frederica; and an extended family of nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Chapel, 100 Patriots Way, Millsboro, where burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Wyoming United Methodist Church Building Fund, 112 Broad St., Wyoming, DE 19934; or to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720-1633.
