CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Geraldine V. Tubman, of Cambridge, died Monday, May 26, 2008, at Ruxton Health in Denton. She was 84.
Born in Cambridge, Ms. Tubman was the daughter of the late Ernest and Eva Lee Tubman.
She lived in Cambridge and Dorchester County all of her life.
Ms. Tubman retired in 1990 as a teacher's aide in Dorchester County.
She is survived by a son, Ernest Tubman of Cambridge; a daughter, Wendy Wilkins; several nieces, Lucinder Whittington and Edna Height, both of Cambridge, and Ardena Tubman and Aseneth Tubman, both of New York City; and one grandchild, Gordon King of Atlanta, Ga.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Union Chapel AME Church Cemetery, Cordtown, near Cambridge. There is no public viewing or visitation.
Instead of flowers, the family requests friends to send memorial donations to the Dorchester Hospice Foundation, 3 Cedar St., Cambridge, MD 21613.
