George B. "Sonny" Betts, 69
MILFORD - George B. "Sonny" Betts of Milford died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 69.
Mr. Betts was born in Milford, son of the late George B. and Bertha (Savage) Betts.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Betts was a carpenter, owned and operated Cherokee Builders, and worked at Nanticoke Homes for 15 years. He was also a meat manager at Save-A-Lot, retiring in 2001.
He was a faithful member of the Independent Bible Fellowship Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Betts was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Betts.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Millie Betts; a son, Daniel P. Betts of Lincoln; and a sister, Joyce Damon of Ocala, Fla.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday in Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford-Harrington Highway, Harrington, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery.
