George and Ellen Hamilton

SMYRNA - George and Ellen Hamilton memorial service will be held on June 18, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 22 N. Union St., Smyrna. George A. Hamilton was born Oct. 22, 1921, to Alonzo H. and Sarah D. Hamilton in Chester, Pa. and graduated from JBM high school in 1939. He then graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1944 and married Ellen Louise Cullen, who was born June 18, 1922, to William B. and Lillian E. Cullen of Clayton. Ellen also graduated from JBM high school in Smyrna. They are survived by their three children, George A. Hamilton Jr., wife Chris and grandsons, Tim and Pat; Barbara H. Morghen, husband Herb, and grandson, Geoffrey; Richardson C. Hamilton, wife, Carla and grandsons, Ryan and Jared and granddaughter, Rebecca and Ellen Louise's cousin, Joseph Manfred Ennis of Hockessin. George and Ellen retired in Fairfield, Calif. and after 65 years of marriage are returning to Smyrna together.
