Gary D. Evans passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018.
Gary was a graduate of Milford High School; he served in the U.S. Navy, was a Life-Member of Ellendale Vol Fire Co., Member of Masonic Lodge #9, and the Milford Elks Lodge.
As an insurance agent with Home Beneficial, Gary was known by many throughout Sussex & Kent Counties as a person of integrity; Gary continued in the insurance field as a Consumer Service Rep within the State of Delaware Insurance Commissioner's Office, from which he retired.
Gary was predeceased by his parents, Preston and Hazel Evans; and brother, Jehu Evans.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Marc Evans (Velvet); daughter, Heather Williams (AJ); step-son, Jason Webb (Keri); three grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, brother, Reginald Evans (Carolyn); niece, Linda Samuelvich (John); nephew, David Evans (Heather); aunt, Marie Knox; multiple cousins, and many good friends, especially long-time friend, Dicky Pettyjohn.
Service and burial will be held at a later date.
