Gail S. Muncey, 77
Gail S. Muncey passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at home.
Gail as born on July 26, 1944 in Manchester, Conn. to William Rider and Lorraine (Emrick) Rider. She married John Muncey in 1960 and they lived in Lincoln for over 50 years. She worked in food service for the Milford School District from 1976-2006. She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, and mother, and a treasured friend who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and her siblings from Connecticut: Geraldine Eudy, William Emrick, James Webber, Nellie Duncan, and June Christensen.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Ryan (Joe), John Muncey, Jr., Jeffrey Muncey, Debbie Morris (Ed), and Joseph Muncey (Sue); grandchildren, Chelsea Cathcart, Jordan Dutton, Joseph and John Muncey; great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Webber; and sisters, Janice Peacock and Beverly Malo.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 12 noon in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE 19963, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery in Frederica.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Lincoln UM Church, PO Box 85, Lincoln, DE 19960 or a charity of your choice.
