Gail Audrey Blaum, 87
DOVER - Gail Audrey Blaum passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, peacefully at home with her daughter by her side.
She was born September 30, 1934, in Malden, Massachusetts to the late Albert Ensor and Doris Libby.
In high school, Mrs. Blaum was a competitive dancer, she continued dancing well into her 60s, enrolling in the same dance schools her granddaughters danced. She worked as a seamstress and millinery for a year, in New York City. Worked for AGFA for 30 years, retiring as shipping and receiving manager. In 1952, she married Ernest F. Blaum, together they raised a family. While their children were still little, she stayed at home, spending all her time with her family.
In addition to her parents; Mrs. Blaum was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Ernest F. Blaum.
She is survived by her children, Susan DiNatale and husband Frank of Dover, Del., Alan Blaum and wife of Port Charlotte, Fla., Margaret "Peggy" Blaum of Frederick, Md.; grandchildren, Brandon Auchterlonie of Concord, N.H., Heather Thorsell and husband Kevin of Felton, Del., Christina DiNatale of Felton, Del., Krystal and Jordan Blaum of Frederick, Md.; great-grandchildren, Anna, Ethan, and Issac Thorsell, Jameson Shahan; best friends, Ellen Shea and husband Jack of Boca Raton, Fla.; and numerous people she touched that she was "Nanny" to.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd. (Rt.10), Dover, Del. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Forgotten Cats Inc. in Greenville, Del., or First State Animal Center and SPCA in Wyoming, Del.
