G. Wayne Passwaters

LINCOLN - G. Wayne Passwaters, of Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Christiana Care Hospital, surrounded by family. He was 66. He was retired from General Motors, Newark in 1993 where he worked for 31 years. He loved and enjoyed his seven cats, the slots, throwing horseshoes and his over the fence conversations with family and neighbors. He also enjoyed canoeing along the Cedar Creek Millpond and saltwater and freshwater fishing. He was a member of the Milford Moose Lodge since 1993 and a member of the U.A.W. Union # 2316. Mr. Passwaters was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Franklin Passwaters; brothers, Clarence Passwaters and Charles Passwaters; and nephew, Bruce Passwaters. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Connie Passwaters; three daughters, Sherri Maneval of New Castle, Cindy Reynolds and Michelle Webb, both of Ellendale; step-son, Steven Hurd of Dover; two sisters, Carol Passwaters of Lincoln and Helen Bouton of Maryland; one brother, Gary Passwaters of North Carolina; stepsister, Sandy Passwaters of North Carolina; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Milford Moose Lodge, 20142 Beaver Dam Road, Milford, DE. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
