MILFORD - Franklin O. Marsh, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009, in his home. He was 51. Mr. Marsh was born in Milford. He was owner of First State Chimney Sweep. Mr. Marsh was a member of the Milford Moose Lodge and the Milford Elks Lodge. In his free time he coached Little League in Milford and was an avid car racing fan, his favorite racers included Steve Kinser and Tony Stewart. He was an announcer at the Middleford Speedway in Seaford. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin O. Marsh Jr.; and his sister, Valerie Meyers Hall. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Marsh; two children, Harvey Adams and Rebecca Adams; his mother, Eugenia Scott Marsh; a brother, James Richard Scott; his two beloved Pugs, Pumpkin and Bobby; devoted aunts, Dorothy Bush and Delphia Gilley; his uncle, Stanley Craft; and many cousins and great friends. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2009 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford. A memorial service was 8 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2009. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
