Frank Snyder

DOVER - Frank Snyder, of Dover, passed away Monday, April 14, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 79.

Frank was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Three Bridges, N.J., son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Orr) Snyder.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Frank worked for George and Lynch, Dover, as a truck driver for 17 years.

He enjoyed camping and tractors, and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Frank was a member of the Modern Maturity Center, Dover.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Frank Snyder.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte Snyder; six children, Gene T. Snyder of Tennessee, Charlotte Everett of Dover, Karl Snyder of Bath, Pa., Cindy Gustin of Wyoming, Brenda Messing of Wyoming, and Herbie Snyder of Newark; four brothers, Andrew Snyder, John Snyder, Arthur Snyder and Walter Snyder, all of New Jersey; a stepsister, Elizabeth Suydam of New Jersey; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
