DOVER - Francisco Rodriguez of Dover departed this life Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, in Dover. He was 54.
He was the son of the late Carmen Rodriguez.
Mr. Rodriguez attended the public school system in Puerto Rico.
He was employed at Dover City Cab for many years, and also did numerous odd jobs as well.
In later years, Mr. Rodriguez met his devoted companion, Deborah Massey. Together two children were born, and he raised a daughter as his very own.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Claire Rodriguez.
He is survived by two sons, Francisco and his wife Michelle Rodriguez, and Andrez and his wife Lauren Rodriguez of Bear; Delora and her husband, Shondell Massey Ellis of Bear, whom he raised; a devoted companion and friend, Deborah Massey of Wilmington; one sister, Rosa Rodriguez Lopez; three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division St., Dover.
A viewing will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
