Francis 'Bunny' U. Golt, 91 EASTON, Md. - Francis "Bunny" U. Golt, of Easton, died on Thursday, July 10, 2008 in Corsica Hills Nursing Center, Centreville. He was 91. Born July 4, 1917 in Queenstown, he was the son of the late Urban Thomas and Mary Favinger Golt. On February 18, 1941 he married Thelma L. Callahan. Mr. Golt worked in the shipyard during World War II while his brothers, Leon, Joe and Marian served our country. He worked as a farmer, an owner/operator of a grocery store and drove a school bus for 19 years for Queen Anne's County. In his later life, Mr. Golt worked in maintenance for Upper Shore Aging in Centreville, and then for 15 years he worked as maintenance man at Tilghman Terrace Apartments until moving to Easton in 1996. Mr. Golt was a member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Centreville until moving to Easton where he is a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. In addition to his parents and three brothers, he was predeceased by three sisters, Catherine Golt, Agnes Shortall, and Viola Carll. In addition to his wife, Mr. Golt is survived by two children, Francis L. Golt and his wife Pat of Middletown, Del. and Nancy L. Holleny and her husband Rich of Denton; five grandchildren, Stephen Golt of Wilmington, Del., Karen Young of Newark, Del., Brett Rhodes of Easton, Robyn Wilson of Roanoke, Va., and Kelly May of Sterling, Va.; nine great-grandchildren; and a special niece/nurse, Lynda. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Centreville. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, Pa., Centreville, MD. Burial will be at Chesterfield Cemetery, Centreville. Memorial donations may be made to the Benedictine School, 14299 Benedictine Lane, Ridgely, MD 21660. www.fhnfuneralhome.com.
