Francis Tucker

Francis Tucker, 68

MILFORD - Francis Tucker of Milford, formerly of Mount Kisco, N.Y., passed away Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 68.

Mr. Tucker was born in Mount Kisco, son of the late Kenneth and Lucy (French) Tucker.

He was a plumber for 38 years with the local plumbers union in Mount Kisco, retiring in 2004. He was also a custodian for 11 years for the Somers (N.Y.) School District. He was a former member of the Mount Kisco fire police and rescue team. After retirement, he and his family moved to Milford in January 2005.

He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, gardening and had also done needlework.

Mr. Tucker was a member of Avenue United Methodist Church, Milford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas G. Tucker.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Eileen (Felter) Tucker; two children, Jason Tucker and Megan Tucker, both of Milford; a sister and a brother-in-law, Barbara and Joseph Hanzely of Toms River, N.J.; six nephews, Robert Way, Timothy Way, Jeffrey Way, Kenneth Tucker, Douglas Tucker and John Tucker; a niece, Diana Tucker; four great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St., Milford.

Services will also be held at a later date in Mount Kisco.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803.

Arrangements by Berry-Short Funeral Homes, Milford.
