Francis 'Curly' E. Hart, 80

MARYDEL, Md. - Francis "Curly" E. Hart, of Marydel, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, in his home. He was 80.

He was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Baltimore, to the late John and Mary (Eder) Hart.

Mr. Hart was a World War II Navy veteran.

He worked for the McCormick Spice Co. before going to work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he was a tugboat captain for 30 years.

Mr. Hart was a life member of the Glen Burnie Lodge 213 AF & AM, the Concordia Royal Arch Chapter 1 and the Concordia Council Royal and Select Masters 1.

He was also a life member of the National Rifle Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Moser Hart; two daughters, Gloria Ann Albritton of Suwanee, Ga., and Reatha Born of Tamarac, Fla.; one son, Steve Hart of Lowman, N.Y.; three stepsons, Thomas Hoy of Allenwood, Pa., Charles Kolanda of Harrisburg, Pa., and LaDrue Kolanda of Marydel; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five step-granddaughters.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where friends may call one hour prior.

Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Caroline County Friends of Hospice, P.O. Box 362, Denton, MD 21629.
