'Dossie-Peppy' SMYRNA - Florence K. Cahall, of Smyrna, went home to be with her Heavenly Father peacefully in the presence of a room full of beloved family members and dear friends on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at Silver Lake Nursing Home in Dover, where she was loving cared for daily by staff, her daughter Carol, and close family friend Bill McCracken. She was 84. Mrs. Cahall was born March 1, 1929 in Smyrna, the daughter of the late Harry and Edith Kinsey. She retired after 20 years as Head Teller for the Clayton Bank and Trust. Prior to that, she worked at International Playtex in Dover for many years. Also, she worked as a Secretary for her daughter and son-in-law's business, C.T. Morris Trucking, Inc. Florence was a very active member of the Smyrna Wesleyan Church. Her duties with the church included Head of the Church Board, Sunday School Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher, and Church Treasurer. She was an excellent grandmother who adored her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Cahall; one sister, Margaret Uhlendorff; and two brothers, Lawrence Kinsey and Charles Kinsey. She is survived by her son, James E. Cahall, Sr. (Sharon) of Smyrna; her daughter, Carol C. Morris (C. T.) of Smyrna; three grandchildren, Becky, Jamie, and Michael; and eight great grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Jenifer, Jesica, Walter, Evan, Lucas, and Weston. A viewing will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Resident Fund at Silver Lake Nursing Home, 1080 Silver Lake Blvd., Dover, DE 19904.
