Evelyn (Newlin) Lichtenstein, 99
REHOBOTH BEACH - Evelyn (Newlin) Lichtenstein, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away peacefully Monday, March 12, 2007, at her residence. She was 99.
Mrs. Lichtenstein was born Sept. 25, 1907, in Marden, Mass., daughter of the late Howard and Jenny (Wilson) Newlin.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rehoboth Beach. She was also a member of the Rehoboth Beach Village Improvement Association, the Beebe Hospital Auxiliary and Volunteers and the Rehoboth Beach Country Club.
Mrs. Lichtenstein was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Lichtenstein, in 1995.
She is survived by her good friend, Frances Cowgill; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no viewing and the burial at All Saints Cemetery, near Angola, will be private.
There will be a memorial service on Sunday, March 25, at 2 p.m., in the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rehoboth Beach, with the Rev. Dr. Frank S. Deming Jr. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 301 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, or to a charity of choice.
