Evelyn J. Davis, (nee) Blackson SEAFORD - Evelyn J. Davis, (nee) Blackson passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. She was born in Morristown, N.J. on December 5, 1931 to the late Norris and Lillian (Ott) Blackson. Evelyn was a dedicated homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her career as a chicken grower lasted for over 50 years, retiring in 2008. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Arthur P. David Jr.; and her sister, Doris Blackson Boyce. She is survived by her children, Deb Puls and her husband Dennis, Donna Carey and her husband Monte, and Kevin Davis and his girlfriend, Vicki Dyson; two granddaughters that called her 'Mom-mom', Caroline Carey and Tia Emano; and three great-grandchildren to who she was affectionately called 'GiGi', Kason, Sophia, and Macklin. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE 19947, where friends may call beginning at 1 p.m. The Reverend Don Groton will be officiating and interment will follow at Asbury Cemetery where friends and family are invited to attend.
