Evelyn Armstrong

DOVER - Evelyn "Evie" Armstrong passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018.
Evie was born Jan. 13, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Robert Taylor Fetterolf and Evelyn A. Swope Fetterolf. She grew up and went to school in Chestertown, Md.
She worked as a fashion display merchandising for K-Mart in Dover and Roses in Milford, where she became District Manager. Evie received her degree in Retail Mechanizing and Business Management from a correspondence school in Scranton. She had also worked in Bensalem, Pa. and owned her own business "Black Dog Woods and Crafts" for four years, she also had a candy cart (mobile candy store) while she was living in High Point. Evie collected porcelain dolls and loved being outdoors and horseback riding.
Evie was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Armstrong, 2002, and sister, Donna Lee Middleton, 2000.
She is survived by her son, Jack Keith Fetterolf (Melanie) of Frederica; her companion, Philip Larrimore; sisters, Linda Litanski of Ogden, Utah, Virginia A. Yianniaks of Dover, Ruth Daly of Philadelphia, Pa. and Nancy Griffey of Feds Creek, Ky.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, (Rt. 10) 1145 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m.
