Eve Lynn Everett, 92 CLAYTON - Eve Lynn Everett, 92, of Clayton, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on Jan. 8, 1918, in Porta Down (County Armagh) Ireland to the late Thomas and Della Mae Platt. Eve was a graduate of Madison College (now James Madison University). She was a elementary school teacher for 30 years in the Smyrna School District. Upon retirement Eve loved to spend time with family and friends. She loved to cook, bird watching, and was an avid reader. Eve also shared in her family's love of animals and helped raise many litters of hunting dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert L. Everett; and her son, Robert L. Everett, II. She is survived by daughter, Martha Lynn Everett of Clayton; sister-in-law and very special friend, Louise Everett of Clayton; nephew and his wife, Charles and Renee Everett of Lexington, Ky.; nephew and his wife, Chad and Lee Everett of Trappe, Md.; niece and her husband, Teri Lou and Bruce Timmons of Clayton; one great-nephew, four grand-nieces, and her four footed friends, Lyndy, Clayton, Dixie, Chloe'. Remembrance Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Burial will be at the Sudlersville Cem. Sudlersville, Md. Friends may also call Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Downs Chapel United Methodist Church, C/O Virginia Jones, 6703 Sudlersville Road, Marydel, DE or Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934 Letters of condolences may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com.
