Eutice A. 'Gator' Waters, 91
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Eutice A. "Gator" Waters, of Daytona Beach, formerly of Galena, Md., passed away on Feb. 28, 2009, in Port Orange Hospice Care Center. He was 91. Mr. Waters was born on Dec. 14, 1917, in Groveland, Ga., son of the late Arthur A. and Minnie Lee Deloach Waters. He was a U.S. Marine from 1937 to 1941, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Eutice was an Iron Worker for Local 451 in Delaware for 48 years retiring at the age of 74. Eutice loved God, his family and his friends. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, gardening, fishing and crabbing. He had a youthful outlook on life, entertaining sense of humor, and a positive attitude to enjoy each day God gave him. He was a blessing to all who knew him. He was preceded by two sons, Eutice Waters Jr. and Timothy Waters; and a daughter, Mary Jo Herron. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia; his four daughters, Patricia Miller of Kentucky, Donna Waters of Georgia, Janie Harry of Hershey, Pa., and Linda Keeler of Clayton, Del.; two sisters, Vera Johnson of Claxton, Ga. and Jane Moore of Savannah, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Kimberly, Bobbie Jo, Denni, Ralph, Jessica, Ashley, T.J., and Charlene; and nine great-grandchildren, Bridget, Cody, Zackery, Gabbie, Reed, Mya, Mary Jo, River and Meryck. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, Md., where friends may call one hour prior. Burial in Massey Cemetery.
