LAUREL - Ernestine G. Mills of Laurel, affectionately known as "Stine," departed this life Sunday, March 25, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford.
Mrs. Mills was born to the late Henry and Beatrice Jones Sr. on Sept. 7, 1950, in Demopolis, Ala.
She attended U.S. Jones High School in Demopolis. She moved to Indiana in 1968, then to Delaware in 1998 where she was a faithful member of Victory Tabernacle Church of God in Laurel until her death.
Mrs. Mills loved fishing, knitting, arts and crafts and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Mills Sr.; and two sisters, Virdine Croom and Betty Gamble.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Patricia Gilbert (Curtis Sr.), Aleasha Walker (Jimmie Sr.) and Jacqueline Mack; one son Robbin Mack (April); four sisters; Daisy Mitchell, Christine Jones, Roxie Jones and Vivian Jones; her brother, Henry Jones Jr. of Laurel; and her adopted brother, Tony Wingfield of Indianapolis. Ernestine also leaves 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Services were Tuesday in Victory Tabernacle Church of God, Laurel.
Services will also be Saturday in Indianapolis.
Burial will be in New Crown Cemetery, Indianapolis.
