Elsworth Fannin

MILFORD - Elsworth Fannin, Jr., "Junior", of Milford, formerly of Majestic, Ky., died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 peacefully at his home. Junior was born Jan. 2, 1944 in Majestic, Ky., the son of the late Elsworth and Vina (Stiltner) Fannin, Sr. He was one of 9 children. Junior served in the U.S. Army. Junior married Barbara Riley on March 28, 1965. He made his profession as a concrete layer and home builder. He also took great pride in working at his brother's campground in Lincoln. Junior enjoyed going to auctions, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. His happiest times were spent playing with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Ann Fannin (June 1992); brothers, Joey Fannin (January 1979) and James Cassell (February 2014); and half sister, Sandy Kenton. Junior is survived by his wife of 51 years Barbara; daughter, Jennifer Fannin and her fiancee' Delbert Calhoun; son, Jason Fannin and his wife Whitney; one grandson, Matthew Plourde; two granddaughters, Morgan Fannin and Payton Fannin; brothers, Bill Fannin (Beverly), Elmer Fannin (MaryAnn), Donnie Fannin (Elaine); sisters, Lois Fannin, and Barbara Bell; one half sister, Pearl Walker; and sisters-in-law, Dean Cassell and Kathy Greene (David). A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 at the Northway Church, 22033 Shockley Road, Milford, Delaware where friends may call from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Northway Church, 22033 Shockley Road, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford. Letters of condolence may be sent and shared with the family at www.loflandandmcknatt.com.
