Elsie R. (Morris) Sheets, 85
FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Elsie R. Morris Sheets of Federalsburg died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, in Memorial Hospital in Easton. She was 85.
Mrs. Sheets was born Nov. 3, 1921, in Cordova, daughter of the late William and Annie Swartz Morris.
She was a 1938 graduate of Cordova High School.
She was a manager at the former Jasper's Hardware Store in Easton.
Mrs. Sheets was a member of Union United Methodist Church, Federalsburg.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Morris.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harold Alexander Sheets Sr. whom she married July 7, 1950; five children, Shirley Mattox of Easton, Donna and Wayne Towers of Cambridge, Glenn Lee and Judy Secrist of Cordova, Harold A. Jr. and Karen Sheets of Bridgeville, Del., and Gary and Kelly Sheets of Preston; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Morris of Cordova, Albert Morris of Skipton and Bill Morris of Easton; a sister, Florence Simmons of Chestertown; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Framptom Funeral Home, PA, Federalsburg.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The Rev. David Heistand will officiate.
Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Hillsboro.
Memorial contributions may be made to Union United Methodist Church, 301 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD 21632.
