DOVER - Eleanor J. Tschopp, age 85, of Dover, passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014. Eleanor was a native Delawarean. She was a clerk in the court system for the State of Delaware retiring in 1980. A member of Holy Cross Church in Dover, she attended St. Ann's while living in Wilmington where she was active in many church activities, helping establish the Adoration Chapel at St. Ann's. She was a volunteer for the Tri State Bird rescue and was very giving to the community and the church. She is survived by her daughter, M. Catherine Castiglione and her husband, Frank of Camden; her son, Mark Masten and his wife, Linda of Magnolia; and two granddaughters, Gillian and Zoe of Magnolia. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the entire staff at Courtland Manor for the excellent care given to Eleanor for the past seven years. Friends may visit with her family on Friday morning February 28, 2014 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 1900 Delaware Ave., Wilmington from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, Union St. and Gilpin Ave., Wilmington. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Catholic Charities, 2099 S.
