LAUREL - Edward Lee Kelley, Jr. passed away on December 10, 2020 at Tidal Health Nanticoke in Seaford, Delaware. Born in Ridgely, Maryland, Ed is the son of the late Edward Lee Kelley, Sr. and Eva States Gray.
Ed was actively working as a Master Well Driller and Consultant at Atlantic Well Drilling. He was an active member of Bethel Worship Church and the Delaware and Maryland Well Drillers Associations. Ed's community involvement also included being a past member of the Lions Club, Civic Club and Saint Philips Episcopal Church. He was a loyal Laurel Bull Dog fan as well as a NASCAR fan who enjoyed watching his favorite driver Chase Elliott. Camping, spending time with family and his grandchildren were among his favorite pastime activities.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Norma Jean Kelley; children, Mike Kelley and his wife Dana, Carol Adams and her husband Alan, Kim Mears, Jerry Mears and his wife Lisa; grandchildren, Lance, Christopher, Sarah, Maura, Miranda, Alan, Kirstie; great grandchildren, AJ and Austin Adams; siblings Joyce Harris (TJ),George Kelley (Carla), Judy Hester (Wilburn), Ida Kelley, Rhonda Long (Donnie), Pete Gray (Toni), Bonnie Humphries (David), Linda Bradley (Mike); he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his step father, Fred Gray; sister, Janice Kemp; and father in law, Dallas Workman.
All services will be private due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel. The family will arrange a celebration of life at a later date.
