Edward C. Pettee

Edward C. Pettee, 48

SMYRNA - Edward C. Pettee of Smyrna passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, in his home. He was 48.

Mr. Pettee was born in Wilmington, son of the late George J. Jr. and Ruth R. (Nickle) Pettee.

He was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and the University of Delaware.

Mr. Pettee worked for the state of Delaware.

He was an avid hunter and sportsman.

Mr. Pettee was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his loving wife of three years, Gail M. Pettee; a son, Michael E. Pettee of Dover; a daughter, Elizabeth C. Pettee of Palm Bay, Fla.; a brother, George Pettee of Newark; a sister, Diane McDonough of Newtown Square, Pa.; and his maternal grandmother, Mary Kavanaugh of Wilmington.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Beeson Funeral Home, 412 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will follow in Chester Bethel Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Leader Dogs for the Blind, P.O. Box 5000, 1039 S. Rochester Road, Rochester, MI 48308-5000.
