Edith Wootten, 76MILFORD - Edith Wootten passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at her home in Milford, Delaware.
Edith was born in Haverford, Pennsylvania on December 28, 1945 and graduated from Milford High School in the Class of 1963. She worked as a bank teller at the Milford Trust Bank and as a ticket salesperson with Ocean Downs, Brandywine and Dover Racetracks. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Francis and Charlotte (Lambert) Wootten; and four brothers, Joseph Wootten, Jimmy Wootten, Billy Wootten and Edward Wootten.
She is survived by her brother, John Wootten, Sr.; niece, Hope Wootten; nephew, John Wootten, Jr.; sister-in-law, Debbie Field; and her beloved caretaker, Darryl Evan Craft.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front Street, Milford, Delaware where friends may call after 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
