Edgar H. 'E.H.' McGrath, 73

EASTON, Md. - Edgar H. "E.H." McGrath of Easton passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, in Genesis Health Care-The Pines, Easton. He was 73.

Mr. McGrath was born Oct. 9, 1933, in Fruitland, son of the late Edgar H. Sr. and Helen (Mezick) McGrath.

He attended Wicomico High School and graduated in 1951. He went on to Goldey Beacom College, graduating in 1953.

After his time at college, he served in the U.S. Army and was discharged with a rank of private first class.

After the Army, Mr. McGrath embarked on a career in accounting while living in Federalsburg and Oxford, before moving to Easton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth McGrath.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan (McCrea) McGrath of Easton; two sons, Michael Jay McGrath and his partner Paul John Washo, both of Cambridge, and Christopher McGrath of Oxford; a brother, Gregory Eric McGrath of Petersburg, Va.; and a grandson, Connor Bailey McGrath of Oxford.

Memorial services will be at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Eastern Shore Chapter, 290C Milford St., Salisbury, MD 21804.

Arrangements by Williamson Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Federalsburg.
