Earl F. Clow

DOVER - Earl F. Clow passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at Westminster Village. Mr. Clow was born Feb. 23, 1925 in Barclay, Md. to the late Herman Clow and Emily Schriver Clow. He served in the United States Army for two years. Mr. Clow worked Civil Service as an electrician on DAFB for 30 years, retiring in 1982. After his retirement, he worked for Hollenger Real Estate for several years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover, the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post #2 and the Union Lodge #7. Mr. Clow loved and collected cars, especially Thunderbirds, and enjoyed going to car shows and auctions. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James and Charles Clow; sisters, Dorothy Blades and Eleanor Faulkner. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Vivian Bowers Clow, of Dover; and son, Thomas Clow, also of Dover; and his cat, Mikey. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Flowers will be accepted or contributions to an animal charity of your choice. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
