ROCK HALL, Md. - Dorothy Juanita Hopkins of Rock Hall died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, in Corsica Hills Nursing Home, Centreville. She was 39.
Ms. Hopkins was born April 18, 1967, in Chestertown, daughter of the late Rudolph Sr. and Florence Hopkins.
She attended Rock Hall Elementary and Rock Hall Middle schools, and graduated from Kent County High School.
Ms. Hopkins was employed by Conagra Foods and Waterman"s Crabhouse until her illness in 2003.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Rudolph Hopkins Jr. and Thomas Hopkins.
She is survived by a brother, Cornelius Hopkins Sr. of Rock Hall; her paternal grandmother, Sarah Francis of Rock Hall; a nephew, Cornelius Hopkins Jr. of Rock Hall; a niece who was also her godchild, Sherkita Hopkins of Fairlee; two great-nieces, Enijah and Jada, both of Fairlee; five aunts, Dorothy Wilson and her husband Clarence, and Judith Kennard and her husband Ronald, all of Rock Hall, Fabie Wickes of Philadelphia, Hilda Hicks of Elkton and Marshall Hopkins of Chestertown; two uncles, Melvin Laster and Russell Laster, both of Rock Hall; 12 great-aunts; six great-uncles; a great-great-aunt; her godmother, Hester Wright; two best friends, Kim Grayes and Latoya Hawkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in Aaron"s Chapel, Rock Hall.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the church, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Aaron"s Chapel Church Cemetery.
