Dorothy 'Fran' Frances Dunnington, 66
RIDGELY, Md. - Dorothy "Fran" Frances Dunnington of Ridgely died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, in the Memorial Hospital of Easton. She was 66.
She was born June 24, 1940, in Huntington, Tenn., daughter of Dorothy Wilson Greer and the late Sollie Buster Greer, who died in 1986.
Mrs. Dunnington was a graduate of Lockerman High School and Morgan State University.
She was a substitute teacher in Talbot and Caroline counties. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed water painting and crocheting, knitting and singing.
She was a member of the St. Benedict/Elizabeth Catholic Church.
In addition to her mother, Dorothy Wilson Greer of Ridgely; she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joseph C. Dunnington of Ridgely, whom she married Sept. 22, 1962; a son, David A. Dunnington and his wife Kelly of Dover, Del.; a daughter, Deborah A Dunnington of Ridgely; two brothers, David Greer of Wheaton, and James Greer and his wife Ella of Oceanside, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Hackett of Framingham, Mass., and Carlon Hitch of Ridgely; two foster brothers, Ronald Cartnail of Frederick, and Jesse Holland of Nashville, Tenn.; two foster sisters, Charlotte Seth and her husband Marvin and Kathy Lynn Gibson and her husband Craig, all of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Felicia Dunnington, Ronald Acree Jr., David A. Dunnington and Sky Wren Dunnington; two great-grandchildren, Quierra Dunnington and Damarion Williams; two brothers-in-law, Charles Dunnington and his wife Norma of Abilene, Texas, and James Dunnington of Washington; and three sisters-in-law, Alice Aaron of Hyattsville, Deloris Dunnington of Largo, and Regina Johnson and her husband Alonzo of Port Tobacco.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Ridgely, where friends may call from 9:30 a.m.
Burial will be in Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery, Hurlock.
