Dorothy Florence Hughes, 78
DOVER - Dorothy Florence Hughes of Dover died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, in Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. She was 78.
Ms. Hughes was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Sandtown, daughter of the late Alvin S. and Mabel (Kemp) Hughes.
She was a lifetime resident of the area.
Ms. Hughes was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin S. Hughes Sr.
She is survived by two brothers, Edward E. Hughes of Sandtown and Willard Hughes of Dover; five sisters, Amy Oechsler and Eva Dill, both of Camden, Pauline Tatman of Harrington, Frances Hurd of Woodside and Loretta Poore of Dover; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro.
Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Felton.
