Doris Marie Poore Moore, 83
SMYRNA - Doris Marie Poore Moore, of Smyrna, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, in Green Valley Pavilion, Smyrna. She was 83.
Mrs. Moore was born Jan. 4, 1925, in Clayton, the daughter of the late John H. and Lulu Davidson Poore.
Mrs. Moore worked as a document clerk for the Department of Motor Vehicles in Dover for several years before retiring in May of 1985.
Her hobbies included dancing, music and going to the beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter B. Moore Jr. in 1976; her beloved grandson, Stephen L. Spencer in 2007; a brother, John E. Poore; and her dear friend, Joanne Lee Mills.
She is survived by two daughters, Lea Christensen of Atlanta, Ga. and Bonnie Spencer of Smyrna; a sister, Sandra Lee Poore of Millsboro; her sister-in-law, Ila Poore-Cooper of Smyrna; and her nephews, Jackie, Wayne and Dennis Poore.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call two hours prior to the services.
