Donna Marie Vincent Fisher

Donna Marie Vincent Fisher, 51

LAUREL - Donna Marie Vincent Fisher, of Laurel, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008, at her home. She was 51.

She was born on March 30, 1957, the daughter of Herman T. Vincent of Preston, Md., and the late Joyce Elaine Mitchell Vincent.

Donna graduated from Col. Richardson High School, class of 1975.

She then entered the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1979.

Later Donna earned her business degree from Georgetown Technical College.

She had worked at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in admissions and medical records until her illness.

Donna enjoyed bowling on a league for many years, was a member of the Delmarva Drag Club, loved NASCAR racing and was especially fond of Jimmie Johnson.

She loved to read and going to Little League games.

Donna was a lifetime member of the Federalsburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5246, where she was the former president of the ladies auxiliary.

She loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death her mother, Joyce Elaine Mitchell Vincent.

Donna is survived by her husband, Ernie Fisher of Laurel; a daughter, Denise Hornsby and her husband David of Delmar; four siblings, Barbara Harding and her husband Howard Lee of Eldorado, Md., Terry Vincent and his wife Patti of Salisbury, Md., Theresa Bradley of Laurel, and Bruce Vincent and his wife Diana of Preston; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral is planed for 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, Md., with the Rev. Roland Tice officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at the Eastern Shore Veteran Cemetery in Beulah, Md.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland, 1107 Kenilworth Ave., Baltimore, MD 21204.
